In general, the activities are related to development of assays and testing of reagents. During 2020 active projects involving the following organisms and/or toxinswere undertaken:
Highly pathogenic influenza virus – reagent development for highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) viruses (H5Nx, H7N9) and associated research.
Bacillus anthracis toxins – made available for vaccine testing, reagent development, development of in vitro assays to detect anthrax toxin neutralising antibodies.
Botulinum toxins (serotypes A, B, E) - laboratory testing of therapeutic toxins; development of cell-based assays for clostridial toxins.
