Diagnosis of and research on viruses causing hemorrhagic fevers (Lassa, Ebola, Marburg, Crimean-Congo
hemorrhagic fever). Research includes basic research on virus replication, immunology, and pathogenesis, as well
as applied research on therapy and prophylaxis.
